Specifications include, but are not limited to: The State of Nevada Purchasing Division, on behalf of the Department of Indigent Defense Services (DIDS) is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to assist DIDS in determining the appropriate numerical caseload/workload standards for providers of indigent legal representation in the rural counties of the state of Nevada. DIDS seeks to procure the services of a vendor to conduct a study, to be performed in consultation with DIDS, which can be used as a basis for stipulating numerical caseload/workload standards for rural Nevada indigent defense providers. The selected vendor will work in consultation with DIDS at all stages of the study, including the conduct of the study itself. The study must result in the production of recommended caseload standards for rural indigent defense providers that accounts for (a) variation in counties and courts, (b) variation in delivery models, and (c) the variation in distance between courts.
