This project is located at McCarran International Airport and includes the reconstruction of two (2) holding pads (Holding Pad 8 and the North Tear Drop) as well as reconstruction of Access Gate 38. The existing holding pad pavements are constructed of both Asphalt Concrete (AC) and Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) and will be replaced with new PCC pavement. The project will include drainage improvements within the limits of the holding pads (installation of new trench drains and storm drain piping), as well as high mast lighting, electrical duct-banks, taxiway lighting, airfield surface markings and airfield security fencing. Reconstruction of Access Gate 38 will include demolition of existing Gate 38 and existing AC pavement, and installation of new guard shack facilities, new AC and PCC pavements, parking striping, security cameras, security fencing, electrical and communication raceways, high mast lighting, and security sliding gate assembly.
