The Scope for Project 19005 consists of two portions: Preliminary Treatment and Primary Treatment. Preliminary Treatment The new facilities will consist of 3 channels, 2 bar screens, rock catcher, 3 inlet gates, a dual hydraulic sluiceway, 2 washer/compactors, screening storage building and bins, 4 aerated grit basins, 12 grit pumps, 12 grit hoppers, grit storage building and bins, interceptor split structure and a flow metering vault. The Project will require a tie into the existing splitter structure and three 96” pipes approximately 365 linear feet in length. At the outlet, two 72” pipes approximately 370 linear feet in length connect to Primary Treatment Structures. Primary Treatment The new facilities will consist of a primary influent structure, three 120-foot diameter primary clarifiers with a 14-foot side water depth, 6 scum pumps, sludge pumps, sludge pumping facility, drain pumps, primary outlet structures, and odor control facility. From the primary outlet structure a 96” pipe will need to be extended to the existing 72” pipe that leads to the Primary Effluent Pump Station facility. From the primary sludge pumping facility approximately 2,400 ft of 10” lines will be required to convey primary sludge to the existing sludge thickening facilities.
