Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Nevada State Veterans Home is seeking qualified construction vendors to perform remodeling of the main entrance lobby to the Home. The construction elements of this project are based upon the design work done by Fielden and Partners, Henderson, NV, and will rely on design drawings and interior floor plans created by that company. Included in this project is the removal of a fountain (water feature) from the lobby, the creation of a receptionist desk in the lobby, installation of Sky Ceilings and Windows to resemble sky lights, installation of an electric fireplace in the lobby, repainting of the lobby, replacing the carpet in the lobby, and rock work along one side of the lobby tying into the fireplace. Contract is expected to be approved at October 9th Meeting of the Board of Examiners. Construction is expected to begin immediately thereafter, with completion before Christmas holidays, 2012. This is an "installation" contract. Vendor to provide and install previously determined carpets, flooring coverings, wainscoting, lighting fixtures, guard rails, and paint using colors and types previously selected during the design phase of the project. 3.1 The vendor's work schedule will be based on a schedule approved and coordinated with NSVH. The project will be completed in phases with variable hourly work shifts. Phases will be as follows: 3.1.1 Dust & egress barriers. 3.1.2 Fountain demolition. 3.1.3 Fountain demolition / patch concrete in fountain area. 3.1.4 Install stonework on walls and fireplace. 3.1.5 Install Sky Ceiling luminous panels. 3.1.6 Perform millwork and install receptionist desk/credenza. 3.1.7 Install Sky Ceiling luminous panel windows at end of room. 3.1.8 Paint all walls and ceiling with roller. 3.1.9 Carpet room and lay flooring in long hallway.
