The Feasibility Study will be completed to identify an alternative transportation route to complete the last segments of the Tahoe Pyramid Trail, connecting Sparks to Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC), Wadsworth, and Fernley. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES This project is part of the larger Tahoe Pyramid Trail (TPT) which follows the length of the Truckee River, from Lake Tahoe to Pyramid Lake. The Feasibility Study will address four (4) sections between Sparks and USA Parkway to Wadsworth and Fernley. The Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC) is the largest industrial park in the world, employing over twenty-five thousand (25,000) with vehicle only access using I-80 and USA Parkway. With continued growth at TRIC, a safe alternative transportation route linking Reno/Sparks to TRIC and Fernley is highly desired. This Feasibility Study will include four (4) segments and consider existing infrastructure, property ownership, opportunities and constraints, community and stakeholder input, trail suitability modeling, construction and maintenance costs, and safety of users. A final report will include evaluation of segments, cost estimates and phasing, and ranked alternatives.
