The Douglas County Community Services Department is issuing this RFQ to solicit Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) from firms or individuals qualified to provide legal services in support of the Douglas County Public Administrator’s Office. The selected attorney must offer competent and effective services that adequately represent Douglas County’s best interests, including frequent consulting with the Douglas County Public Administrator, the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, court appearances, filing motions, and conducting investigations as required. The Public Administrator is an appointed position which is regulated by NRS 253.010 and reports to the Douglas County Community Services Department. Attorneys must be licensed by and in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada, actively practice law and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and Nevada Rules of Professional Conduct.
