A. Services shall include the furnishing of all labor, tools, equipment, transportation, and the performance of all operations required and shall include the cleanup and removal from the project location of all debris resulting from the services performed. B. It shall be the awarded Vendor’s (interchangeably “Contractor”) responsibility to take all necessary safety precautions and to furnish barricades and/or other safety measures as required to perform the services. C. All construction details including all materials, subgrade preparation, dimensions, drainage, and drainage outlets, forming, slip forms, placements, joints, finishing and curing, cold weather protection shall conform to the specifications as listed in the most current edition of the Standard Specifications & Details for Public Works Construction (commonly known as the "Orange Book”) as sponsored and distributed by City of Reno, City of Sparks, and Washoe County. D. All pricing shall include any necessary grading, subgrade, and base work and conform to the Standard Specifications & Details for Public Works Construction. E. Concrete Material: Fiber-reinforced Portland cement concrete (P.C.C.) shall have the following characteristics: 4000 psi min. compressive strength @ 28 days, min. 6 sack of cement per cubic yard with a maximum water/cement ratio of 0.45, air entrainment 6% +/- 1.5%, slump at 1 to 4 inches. Polypropylene fibers shall be added to the P.C.C. per the manufacturer’s recommendations. All materials shall conform to Standard Specifications & Details for Public Works Construction (Section 202). F. Base Material: Base for use under interior and exterior slabs, shall be a select granular crusher-run material free of all trash, debris, and clay particles, which conforms to the Standard Specifications & Details for Public Works Construction for Type 2, Class B, Aggregate Base.
