Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The Nevada Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs is requesting authority to purchase media and support events via sponsorships directly from singular vendors on an as-needed basis. Media includes paid search, social media, digital placements, print and promotional publications, direct marketing, broadcast/video streaming, radio/audio streaming, and out-of-home installations (such as vehicle wraps, activations, and billboards). Sponsorships are another type of promotion in which the agency is able to reach consumers via media and on-site presence for a fee, Niche events are crucial to local economies, particularly in rural Nevada. Direct media buys can save up to 15% on agency commissions. While larger buys necessitate the services of a contracted agency for both facilitation and optimal buying power, authority to purchase media directly can save money and allows a nimbler response to last-minute media buying needs, particularly when implementing in-market micro-campaigns. Sponsorships provide promotion of DTCA via a brand alignment to audiences we would otherwise be unable to reach. Additionally, on-site presence allows for audience growth via e-mail sign ups and social follows.
