Specifications include, but are not limited to: Phase 1 – Rathbone Road Phase 1 is 1,300’ of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining along Rathbone Road and 175’ of bored 6” water main along Plymouth Avenue. This Phase is designed for three CIPP runs with pits constructed at Van Dorn Street, Stratford Avenue, Puritan Avenue and Plymouth Avenue. Temporary water services will be hooked up at the existing hydrant at the intersection of Rathbone Road and Stratford Avenue. The blowoff location for this Phase is located at the southwest corner of Puritan Avenue and Rathbone Road from a temporary hydrant and plug installed by the Contractor. Work in Phase 1 shall include setup of temporary water bypass and service, CIPP setup and installation, new water main and hydrant installation, testing and reconnection of services. Work along Plymouth Avenue shall begin after May 28th 2024 and be completed prior to August 10, 2024. Phase 2 – Puritan Avenue, Colonial Drive, Winthrop Road (South), Mayflower Avenue, and Alden Avenue Phase 2 includes 3,125’ of CIPP lining along the five streets identified. Phase 2 would include two runs along Winthrop Road with pits located at Van Dorn Street, Mayflower Avenue, and Puritan Avenue. Single runs would follow Alden Avenue, Mayflower Avenue, and Colonial Avenue. Puritan Avenue would have two runs with pits located at Colonial Avenue and Winthrop Road. The blowoff location for Phase 2 is located at the southeast corner of Winthrop Road and Puritan Avenue from a temporary hydrant and plug installed by the Contractor. Temporary water services will be provided at the northwest corner of Puritan Avenue and Winthrop Road from an existing hydrant. Work in Phase 2 shall include setup of temporary water bypass and service, CIPP setup and installation, new water main and hydrant installation, testing and reconnection of services. The Contractor must construct Phase 2 following Phase 1 construction. Temporary plugs and bypasses must be constructed within this Phase to isolate systems for drying out the existing pipe and completing lining operations. Phase 3 – Winthrop Road (North), Plymouth Avenue, and Colonial Road Phase 3 is 900’ of CIPP lining along Winthrop Road north of Puritan Avenue. It also includes 900’ of new CIPP lining along Plymouth Avenue and Colonial Road. This Phase is designed for two CIPP runs along Winthrop Road and single runs along Plymouth Avenue and Colonial Road. These CIPP runs would include pits constructed at Winthrop Road and Puritan Avenue, Winthrop Road and Plymouth Avenue, Plymouth Avenue and Colonial Drive and the north end of Colonial Avenue. Temporary water services will be the same source as Phase 2 and will be provided at the northwest corner of Puritan Avenue and Winthrop Road from an existing hydrant. The blowoff location for this Phase is located at the temporary hydrant and plug at the north end of Colonial Drive. Work in Phase 3 shall include setup of temporary water bypass and service, CIPP setup and installation, new water main and hydrant installation, testing and reconnection of services. The Contractor must construct Phase 3 following Phase 2 construction. Temporary plugs and bypasses must be constructed within this Phase to isolate systems for drying out the existing pipe and completing lining operations. Field changes may be necessary to complete construction tasks. The Contractor will be allowed 120 consecutive calendar days to complete the work in Phases 1-3. Failure to meet this time frame shall result in liquidated damages to be assessed in accordance with the Lincoln Standard Specifications. Phase 4 – William Street Phase 4 is 800’ of CIPP lining along William Street. This Phase is designed for two CIPP runs with pits constructed at Van Dorn Street, the half-way point of William Street and the south end of William Street. Temporary water services will be hooked up at the existing hydrant at the intersection of Van Dorn Street and William Street. The blowoff location for this Phase is located at the south end of William Street from a temporary hydrant and plug installed by the Contractor. Work in Phase 4 shall include setup of temporary water bypass and service, CIPP setup and installation, new water main and hydrant installation, testing and reconnection of services. Temporary plugs and bypasses must be constructed within this Phase to isolate systems for drying out the existing pipe and completing lining operations. Field changes may be necessary to complete construction tasks. Phase 5 – Sewell Street Phase 5 is 650’ of CIPP lining along Sewell Street. This Phase is designed for one CIPP run with pits constructed at Colonial Drive and the west end of Sewell Street construction. Temporary water services will be hooked up at the existing hydrant at the intersection of Colonial Street and Sewell Street. The blowoff location for this Phase is located at the west end of Sewell Street project limits from a temporary hydrant and plug installed by the Contractor. Work in Phase 5 shall include setup of temporary water bypass and service, CIPP setup and installation, new water main and hydrant installation, testing and reconnection of services. Work in Phases 4 and 5 can be completed at any point during the construction timeline. It can be done separately or concurrently with Phases 1-3. Temporary plugs and bypasses must be constructed within this Phase to isolate systems for drying out the existing pipe and completing lining operations. Field changes may be necessary to complete construction tasks. The Contractor will be allowed 210 consecutive calendar days to complete all work in Phases 1-5. Failure to meet this time frame shall result in liquidated damages to be assessed in accordance with the Lincoln Standard Specifications.
