Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.Assist the City to identify and evaluate sewer, street, storm sewer, parks, building, lighting, traffic and other public infrastructure needs; develop cost estimates, scope of work and specifications; advise city staff making in-house repairs and improvements or prepare third-party contractor solicitations as required; monitor city projects to ensure successful outcome. 2.Advise the city on management, maintenance and operations of all public infrastructure, including sewer, storm sewer, street, and buildings; develop information and data as necessary and prepare plans and policies, including capital improvement plans. 3.Advise the city regarding ICC code enforcement and building permit activities as required, including structural and electrical engineering. 4.Assist the City to identify and apply industry best practices, including automating infrastructure maps and maintenance records using GIS and other technologies. 5.Assist the City in applying for federal, state, regional, and local assistance to help cost-share public infrastructure projects.
