Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.) A minimum four-person prep-and-patch crew with appropriate traffic control and safety measures. A typical work day is to be ten hours but may be more or less depending on work load, schedule and weather. The contractor will supply all equipment, barricades, safety control, labor supervision, and licensing ; a. Compaction equipment such as rollers, plate compactors, etc. capable of compacting the asphaltic material to the City of Omaha Specifications. b. Jackhammer(s) for removing any loose material in and around the pothole. c. Automotive equipment with proper lighting and a hot box or insulated box that will keep the asphaltic material to a minimum temperature of 160 degrees F. Open boxes will be allowed when ambient air temperatures are above 45 degrees F and the load will be used within 90 minutes from the time of pickup. e. Air compressor and air lance capable of delivering at least 75 cfm at 100 psi to blow out ; The contractor will remove any loose material around the existing pothole or remove any existing asphalt within the pothole with a jackhammer, shovel, and/or pick. All existing loose material must be removed from the pothole and loaded onto the contractor’s automotive equipment for the contractor to dispose.
