Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission (The Commission) is seeking proposals for a qualified contractor to clean carpeted surfaces and optional air ducts in our visitor accommodations, and meeting facilities located at the Eugene T. Mahoney State Park and Surrounding Areas. Eugene T. Mahoney State Park offers year-round accommodations and recreational use. Located near Ashland, NE, just off Interstate 80 at exit 426, Mahoney nestles on 690 acres along the picturesque Platte River. The park offers a spectacular array of camping, lodging, group meeting facilities and activities for the public. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of entertainment, including a water park complete with wave pool and water slides, horseback riding, a miniature golf and driving range, fishing, paddle boating and ice skating. The work and responsibilities described in this section represents the minimum acceptable performance under the proposal but are not intended to limit the activities of the Contractor, which are necessary to provide the degree of service intended by this proposal. All work will be performed utilizing best practices of the trade and of skilled workers. 1. Listed buildings, public spaces and furniture items will undergo hot water extraction cleaning. Hot water extraction method which uses a combination of high water pressure for agitation and hot water to increase reaction rate, basically “steam cleaning” items. Stains that are not removed by hot water extraction may require additional services to fully remove the stain. 2. There are 7 different types of cabins and 2 different types of lodge rooms (as shown in Attachment A). The State requests that each cabin, entire lodge and activity center be cleaned at minimum once per year, with additional cleanings available upon request by a Park Superintendent. All additional buildings to be cleaned upon Park Superintendent request. Contractor will be given a minimum of twenty-four hours notice of additional cleaning required. Contractor will have three days to complete the requested work. Employees and Supervision: 1. The contractor shall employ only trained qualified employees, as necessary to perform the work to be completed. 2. The Contractor shall require employees to comply with instruction that pertain to conduct and building policies. 3. Contractor identification must be displayed at all times. 4. The State reserves the right to approve or disapprove any contractor’s employees that are assigned to the buildings. 5. The Contractor or the Contractor’s employees shall not: a. Use any office furniture, equipment, televisions, telephones, radios, tape recorders, record players, or any other type of equipment not related directly to their work. b. Occupy any office, guest room, conference room, or lobby at any time other than when actually cleaning that area. c. Invite friends, relatives or other unauthorized person(s) into the building(s). d. Unlock any interior or exterior doors for anyone. e. Relinquish building keys to anyone other than their own company manager. The Contractor must report lost keys, cards and all inoperative locks and locking mechanisms to the Park Superintendent immediately.
