Specifications include, but are not limited to: 3.1 Woodchipper shall meet or exceed the following requirements: 3.1.1 Unit Shall be a trailer mounted, hydraulically fed drum chipper in the 12” capacity class. 3.1.2 Maximum hours shall be no more than 850. 3.1.3 Model year of 2016 or newer. 3.1.4 Must be operating in a safe manner and pass visual and operational inspection by the City. 3.1.5 Overall width of the unit shall be no more than 66.5” 3.1.6 Overall height of the unit shall be no more than 103” to the top of the chute 3.1.7 Maximum weight of the base unit shall not be more than 5,600 lbs. 3.2 ENGINE 3.2.1 Unit shall have an industrial, liquid cooled diesel engine equal to a tier 3 emissions rating with 70-85 hp. 3.2.2 Engine shall be equipped with a spin-on, replaceable oil filter. 3.3 CUTTING SYSTEM 3.3.1 The cutting system shall be drum-style with a minimum drum size of 20” in diameter and 20” in width 3.3.2 The drum shall have a minimum of 2 knives, bolted in place with a minimum of 3 bolts per knife. 3.3.3 The drum shall have a two-position safety lock for maintenance. 3.4 FEED SYSTEM 3.4.1 The unit shall be equipped with a hydraulic feed system. 3.4.2 The unit shall be equipped with one horizontal feed roller with a minimum diameter of 20” and minimum width of 17” 3.4.3 The unit shall have a maximum feed speed of 105 ft/min 3.4.4 The unit feed table shall have an approximate distance of 26” from feed table to ground 3.4.5 The feed table shall be foldable with a minimum dimension of 32”x52”.
