TURBINE Alignment checks will be made as listed below. If major misalignment is indicated as a result of these checks or because of major parts change out, the additional required realignment will be included within the original scope of work. All alignment and clearance checks are to be made with the unit cold unless otherwise noted. 3.2 ALIGNMENT CHECKS: Note: Include in base price one move per bearing and one stator move. 3.2.1 Gib key clearance checks. 3.2.2 Rub check on radial steam baffles. 3.2.3 Check points of axial rubbing. 3.2.4 Coupling alignment will be checked and recorded at disassembly. 3.2.5 Check coupling alignment at assembly. 3.2.6 Tops off alignment. 3.2.7 E-rag will be the preferred method 3.3 ROTOR POSITION: 3.3.1 Check and record wheel, diaphragm packing clearances, and rotor position at disassembly. 3.3.2 Check and record wheel, diaphragm packing clearances, and rotor position at reassembly.
