Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Each grade assortment of books must include information and literary book titles. • Bundles for grades fourth through sixth should include both picture and chapter books. • All books must be published in 2012 or newer. • All books must have been reviewed by either School Library Journal, Booklist, or Kirkus. • All District approved titles must be delivered already bundled in groups and inserted into each tote bag as specified by the District. • All approved books will be delivered to the specified location and date as stated in the purchase order and/or distribution list attachment. • Each grade assortment must include 2 book titles of one of the following characteristics: Hispanic/Latino, Multicultural, Diverse Abilities, African American, or Own Voices. • Each assorted bundle must include the following. o Pre-Kindergarten bundle shall include ten book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Kindergarten bundle shall include ten book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o First grade bundle shall include ten book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Second grade bundle shall include ten book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Third grade bundle shall include ten book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Fourth grade bundle shall include seven book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Fifth grade bundle shall include seven book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. o Sixth grade bundle shall include seven book titles selected by the District packaged in a tote bag. • Tote bag must meet the following specifications: o Bag (not including handles) should be of an approximate size 13 inches W x 15 inches H x 6 inches and no larger than 20 inches W x 16 inches H x 6 inches D. o Must include two reinforced handles. o Opening must allow book bundles to be easily retrieved and added to. • Each shipping box must be labeled with grade level and book bundle assortment number.
