Specifications include, but are not limited to: Beginning in the spring of 2022, the City will be funding compactor trucks to participating Neighborhood Associations in conjunction with Omaha’s Spring Cleanup Programs. Depending upon the availability and costs of contractor equipment, the Public Works Department will be coordinating the effort with the following goals: ● 12-19 sites per 5 Saturday over 5 weeks during the Spring ● Begin collection events at 9:00 AM ● Group collection sites regionally for each of the collection days ● Tire hauler and processor for scrap tires at a select site for each collection day ● Appliances and metal hauler/processor at a select site for each collection day ● Waste to be collected in compactor trucks and disposed of at the Pheasant Point Landfill ● All tip fees paid by the City ● Haulers submit to City a copy of scale tickets with collection site location noted The City expects it may be necessary to make multiple awards of this contract in order to meet the equipment needs. It is the intent of this contract that the successful bidder(s), hereinafter "Contractor,” shall provide all labor, services, and equipment necessary to collect and transport acceptable materials from assigned sites to City designated disposal sites.
