Specifications include, but are not limited to: Social Emotional Learning curricula. Qualified and experienced Firms are invited to provide SEL lesson materials, teacher training, digital materials, and associated resource materials (“Materials”). Lessons and materials should include an approximately 36-week scope and sequence of one 20–30-minute lesson per week per grade level. The proposals and the Materials submitted will be evaluated by the District’s selection committee. The selection committee will choose the Firm or Firms whose Materials will be field tested. Following field testing, the District will negotiate with the selected Firm or Firms for the price for acquisition of the necessary Materials. After negotiations, a recommendation will be made by the selection committee to the Board of Education of the District. The Board will make the final decision as to which Firm or Firms, if any, will supply Materials. Once a satisfactory contract is negotiated by the District and the selected Firm or Firms (the “Contract”), it will be presented to the Board of Education for approval.
