The Contractor is allowed to close Van Dorn Street. Coordination between the Contractor and homeowners along the project to ensure local to maintain access to their residences is a priority. All traffic control shall be provided in accordance with the requirements outlined in these Special Provisions, the current Standard Specifications, the current edition of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), and the City of Lincoln Traffic Control Guidelines Manual. The Contractor shall submit a traffic control plan and phasing plan for completion of all work associated with the project to the City’s Project Manager for review and approval at a minimum of one week prior to the pre-construction meeting. The submitted traffic control plan shall be designed and signed by a professional engineer. The schedule shall clearly identify the critical path.
