Specifications include, but are not limited to: The services of qualified material recovery facility (MRF) operators (Vendor) to process recyclable materials. 1.1.1. Vendor shall receive recyclables from Owner contracted hauling company from unstaffed recyclables collection sites located throughout the city of Lincoln. 1.1.2. Vendor shall provide for the adequate reception and preparation of recyclables for shipment, whether the shipment be direct to end markets or to facilities where additional sorting and preparation may be undertaken. The Vendor will be solely responsible for the marketing of all recyclable material received under the terms of the contract and assumes all risk for non-payment by the end market. The Vendor shall be solely responsible for disposal of residuals received and shall do so at an appropriately licensed or permitted facility. 1.1.3. Processing means appropriately separating recyclables into categories that have value and may be marketed. The processing may either occur at the location where the recyclables are received, or a distant location following transport of recyclables to that location.
