2.1 Dimensions & Structure • Depth Between Uprights: Minimum of 12 feet. • Upright Height: Minimum of 6 feet 6 inches on both sides. • Base Height: Continuous base with a minimum height of 12 inches and a maximum height of 18 inches. • Balance: Base should have feet/footings wide enough to allow the rack to stand upright without support. 2.2 Material Requirements • Primary construction material must be 3/8-inch galvanized steel. 2.3 Forklift Compatibility • Pole storage rack(s) should have capability to be moved by a forklift when not under load. • Base must include pockets or cut-outs reinforced and designed to accommodate Class IV forklift forks. • Fork pockets must be no wider than 42 inches on center. 2.4 Load Capacity • Each individual unit must support a minimum load of 60,000 pounds or vertical load. • A rack composed of two units must support a combined load of 120,000 pounds, assuming even weight distribution. 2.5 Documentation Requirements • CAD drawings and engineering documentation will be required of awarded vendor. • Documentation
