Siren maintenance may include repair and replacement of siren radios as well as narrow banding of siren radios as necessary when installing new or repaired siren radios in the system. Except for DCEMA approved work related to radio operation, no subcontracting of siren repair and/or maintenance is allowed without written approval from DCEMA. Contractor shall not mark- up subcontractor fee without prior written approval from DCEMA. Subcontractor’s siren maintenance also includes but is not limited to: 1. Keeping sirens and electrical service lines clear of interference and encumbrances including pest infestations, bird nests and obstacles 2. If needed and approved by DCEMA, subcontracting for fowl or pest removal and arbor services to remove trees, limbs, branches, etc. 3. Remediating water leaks and repair/replacement of siren cabinets 4. Replacement of any and all parts of the siren to ensure it functions properly 5. Coordinating and prioritizing work activities around weather, construction, utility providers and administrative interruptions
