Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Be visible at all times. b. Entry/Access Control of building 1500 – enforce access control/procedures by checking employee IDs for identification verification before allowing access to the building; greet and check-in and provide badges for visitors and vendors; and check-in packaged deliveries and contact employees. c. Log in all visitors and notify divisions/directors office prior to granting access to a visitor. d. Provide presence to deter unwanted activities. e. Deny access of unauthorized individuals. f. Provide assistance, directions, answer questions and otherwise serve as a central or visible source of information for employees, vendors, and visitors. g. NDOT requires its employees to follow motor pool procedures when checking in/out a NDOT vehicle. Below are the procedures security will follow to check vehicles in/out to NDOT employees: 1) Approved request will be forwarded to security by email or phone call from Fleet Management Staff. 2) Security will constantly monitor incoming emails for motor pool requests. Opening the email will notify receipt of the email. Prompt receipt of email is critical. 3) Motor Pool Staff will assign a vehicle key number/stall number to employee. 4) Employee will collect vehicle key from Security Staff. Prior to issuing key and checking out vehicle: a) Employee will need to show ID; verify name on ID matches the name on the request. b) Get vehicle key from locked key box. c) Enter information on log sheet and sign entry. d) Issue key; give directions on where the vehicle is located.
