Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide all the standard security services normally associated with protecting people and property. These responsibilities and duties of the guard may include, but are not limited to: a. Be visible at all times. b. Enforce entry/access control procedures by checking employee IDs for identification verification before allowing access to the building; greet and check-in and provide badges for visitors and vendors; and checkin packaged deliveries and contact recipients. c. Log in all visitors and notify the appropriate staff member prior to granting access to a visitor. d. Provide physical presence to deter unwanted activities. e. Deny access of unauthorized individuals. f. Provide assistance, directions, answer questions, and otherwise serve as a central or visible source of information for employees, vendors and visitors. g. Secure and protect all NDE property including building, equipment, and inventory as well as all employees by maintaining control of traffic flow and access to the facility. h. Recognize and respond to security threats and/or emergency situations with a sense of urgency and maintain open communication flow with management, emergency staff and NDE. i. Notify the NDE of any hazards, safety concerns or other conditions that warrant an unsafe condition. j. Perform additional essential duties related to position which may be assigned by the NDE. k. A majority of the duties will be stationary, but occasional walking may be required. l. Guards will not carry weapons of any kind
