Specifications include, but are not limited to: When vegetation has been established, all temporary erosion control materials shall be removed from the project site. Biodegradable or photodegradable materials need not be removed. (District Construction, Contractor) The intent of the above Regional Condition is that all temporary erosion control measures installed such as silt fence and associated steel posts shall be removed upon completion of the project or upon vegetation establishment reaching the specified success criteria. Biodegradable and photodegradable erosion control measures detailed in the final erosion control plans are intended to remain in place upon completion of the project. Temporary biodegradable/photodegradable erosion control measures such as wood mulch berms and erosion checks may be left in place upon completion of the project.
