Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Building Systems Maintenance (BSM) department requests one (1) quality pipe fitter/plumber to work on an hourly basis for an estimated total of 1500 hours from March 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023. The University does not anticipate the need for this technician to work holidays, weekends, and non-regular business hours. This contract will support the hydronic pipe fitting and plumbing needs for our pneumatic to electronic valve replacement project and to complete a variety of installation projects currently scheduled for the UNL campus. These projects will primarily involve the replacement of hydronic pneumatic control valves which includes the isolation, draining, installation, and filling of system with coordination and support from UNL staff. UNL BSM will provide the project scope, schematics, material and supplies to perform their assigned tasks. It is the University’s expectation that the same one (1) pipe fitter/plumber will report directly to the University throughout the term of this contract. If the respective worker or quality of work produced does not meet UNL BSM expected standards, UNL BSM reserves the right to request a replacement pipe fitter/plumber. If a determination is made by UNL BSM that the general quality of worker being provided by the awarded vendor is insufficient to meet its needs, UNL BSM may, at its discretion, cancel the balance of the award to the vendor and award the balance to the next qualifying vendor. The vendor will be required to provide transportation, parking permits, and tools for their workers. It is our intent to receive proposals from qualified Bidders, demonstrating the capability to provide the quality of products and services required to meet the needs and objectives of the University of Nebraska.
