Specifications include, but are not limited to: furnish the necessary labor, supervision, equipment, apparatus, material, material coordination, schedule preparation, tools, heat treating and conveyances necessary to disassemble, clean, inspect, refurbish, and repair at the CONTRACTOR’S site an MPS-89 Triple Reduction Gear Box (Gear Box), to bring the Gear Box back to original specifications. The CONTRACTOR shall transmit an inspection report to the DISTRICT that will include visual observations, measurements, and non-destructive crack examination results, recommended part replacements, service work to be performed, and costs for each part and/or service. The CONTRACTOR shall refurbish the Gear Box, based on approval of the inspection report by the Engineer. The CONTRACTOR shall ship the refurbished Gear Box to Gerald Gentleman Station.
