Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall be capable of performing the following: a. Follow electrical codes. b. Safely move, drag, lift, load and unload various materials and supplies with or without assistance up to fifty (50) pounds. c. Lay, assemble, install, test, and maintain complex conduit, raceway, lighting circuits and wiring systems. d. Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, and apparatus such as switches, outlets, light fixtures, lamps, ballasts, exhaust, and circulation fans, pull boxes, junction boxes, switch panels, and bus bars, as well as test circuits for continuity and proper connections. e. Install new lighting circuits, fixtures, and outlets. f. Move fire alarm devices. g. Load test circuits. h. Perform preventative maintenance on power panels and distribution systems. i. Perform thermal imaging of panels, motors, bearings, controllers, and circuits. j. Install, repair and/or replace power panels and breakers, and install new power panels. k. Maintain electrical distribution systems. l. Remove abandoned electrical systems. m. Move, connect, and disconnect electrical systems on cubical panels. n. Run and maintain power for door operators, air curtains, and keypad systems. o. Install and maintain electrical systems under flooring and carpet. p. Install, calibrate, repair, and maintain electric power system relays and meters. q. Install, repair, and maintain high voltage fuses, link boxes, cutouts, and transformer connections; operate the main transformer bank switch gears and emergency generator. r. Install, repair, and maintain electrical motors and generators, seats, and replace brushes, clean and oil motors, and do other general electrical and limited mechanical work in repairing and replacing parts. s. Install and perform electrical repairs on specialized electrical equipment such as refrigeration units, HVAC systems, water heaters, and other similar equipment. t. Perform preventative maintenance inspections of electrical equipment and systems, and initiates project work requirements, to be provided to the Facility Maintenance Manager or designee for review and approval, to prevent breakdowns and to correct deficiencies. u. Determines procedures, equipment, and line composition for installing, constructing, repairing, and servicing electric power systems.
