Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall provide the following: - A Communication Plan - Messaging Materials - Training Materials. The contractor shall:. Review literature provided by DCHD that describes effective communication methods and messages for framing connections between the built environment and public health to reach primary prevention solutions. Literature to review will include: a) appreciative inquiry/strategic questioning b) facilitation processes (e.g., Art of Hosting, World Caf, graphic facilitation and scenario planning) and c) framing/messaging research regarding social determinants of health. 2. Suggest other literature for DCHD to consider in the development of the communication plan. 3. Develop a draft communication plan based on the approved literature. 4. Evaluate the effectiveness of the communication plan in creating shared language and mutually understood conceptual frames around primary prevention solutions (see below). 5. Finalize the communication plan by incorporating evaluation findings and including a strategy for reproducibility and alignment with other community initiatives. 6. Refine primary prevention recommendations into messages that can be distributed to decision-makers and stakeholders by word of mouth, in written materials, on a website and through media. 7. Create training materials to be used by DCHD for teaching additional public health and built environment professionals about the framing and dialogue processes developed through the communication plan at Health Impact Assessment trainings. 8. Coordinate activities with the Chief of Community Health and Nutrition Services or designee
