Specifications include, but are not limited to: Professional consulting services from Engineering firms in conjunction with the local project associated with the Deadmans Run project. The risk of flooding in the urbanized Deadmans Run Watershed precipitated the request in April 2012 from the Lower Platte South Natural Resource District (LPSNRD) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to analyze potential solutions under the authority of Section 205 of the 1948 Flood Control Act to reduce flood risks in the Deadmans Run Watershed. The purpose of the study was to: 1. Quantify the flood risks and related flood problems associated with the Deadmans Run Watershed 2. Formulate and evaluate alternative plans to address those flood threats 3. Compare those plans against one another based on costs, benefits, and impacts 4. Select a recommended plan for implementation that would reduce the existing flood risk within the community
