Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The term of this Agreement will be for a one (1) year period from the time of award with two (2) one-year options to extend at the sole option of the City of Omaha within thirty (30) days of the expiration of the contract at the same bid price. 2. For this Agreement, the City will provide a small closet, locker, or storage room that the Vendor can use. The City will furnish the following material to the Vendor: paper towels, toilet tissues, and soft hand soap to be used to restock on a daily basis in all dispensers within the building. All other cleaning materials shall be supplied by the Vendor and included in the bid, including but not limited to: a. Heavy-duty plastic bags (minimum of 1.5 mil thick and 2-ply strong to prevent leakage) and trash can inserts b. Disinfectant, which must be a detergent thickened and non-acid bowl and bathroom cleaner that effectively eradicates the HIV virus (chlorine bleach is not acceptable as a disinfectant) c. Commercial/Industrial cleaning products and supplies from a reputable supplier; products or materials that are environmentally safe that meet the sustainability criteria outlined in Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) Credit 3.3 Green Cleaning. All mops, buffs, cleaning cloths, buckets, and/or any other tool or machine shall be supplied by the Vendor and remain the property of the Vendor. Material and equipment belonging to Vendor must be marked with Vendor’s identification. All materials must meet the approval of the City Representative. The City Representative can require changes in material if the material is shown to be sub-par in quality, consistency or other factors affecting the appearance or performance of the product. 3. Trash and debris must be removed from the floors daily. This includes carpeted floors and non-carpeted floors; public seating areas, staff areas, meeting rooms, offices, entryways, hallways, stairways, etc. 4. No grounds and exterior maintenance will be done, except as noted. 5. It is understood between the parties that the prime purpose of this Agreement is that the premises shall be kept clean, according to reasonable and accepted standards, and in accordance with these specifications, regardless of the number of times an operation is required to accomplish this purpose; and the times an operation is performed as shown herein are solely for guideline purposes and may not constitute satisfactory performance. 6. Vendor is adjudged to have sufficient experience in this field to determine with reasonable certainty the required amount of work (and therefore workers) and materials necessary to accomplish the above-stated purpose of this janitorial service.
