Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Hastings is accepting bids for the Chautauqua Park Pavilion dry pipe fire sprinkler system. The scope of work includes removal of the old fire sprinkler piping, and design, supply and installation of a new fire sprinkler system.; 3.101 Schedule: Chautauqua Park Pavilion is rented to the public. Scheduling of work to be coordinated through City of Hastings Parks and Recreation office.; 3.102 Removal: Remove existing fire sprinkler piping back to and including the existing dry valve. The existing backflow preventer and wall post indicator to remain.; 3.103 Installation: The whole building shall be protected by a hydraulically designed dry pipe sprinkler system. Including stage floor, seating area, space beneath stage and seating area, valve/electrical room, and the general area covered by the roof. New piping shall be installed with the mains at the low eave and the branch lines running up and down the slope of the pavilion roof. New system shall tie-in to existing riser and existing fire alarm panel.; 3.104 Materials: A. Base Bid: a. Main lines - Grooved piping shall be a minimum of black schedule 10 with grooved fittings.; b. Branch lines - Threaded pipe shall be a minimum of black schedule 40 with black threaded fittings.; c. Sprinkler heads – bronze, standard upright type, rated for specific hazard area.; d. Dry Valve – Tyco DPV-1 or equivalent.; 3.105 Cleaning: A. Flush entire piping system of foreign matter.
