Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. This contract is for packaging, handling, transportation, and disposal of chemical waste generated as a byproduct of analytical testing of drinking water and wastewater, disposal of expired reagents and supplies, and for disposal of other waste products as needed. a) Non-standard chemical waste products include but not limited to; i. Broken thermometers, hood filters, non-select agent biological waste, and nonstandard chemical waste. 2. Contractor must currently, and throughout contract term, be properly licensed under all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws. 3. Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding the collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of all waste that is collected from DHHS NPHEL. 4. Contractor will provide copies of current permits, licenses and letters of approvals upon request within two (2) business days. If at any time during the term of contract the Contractor’s permits, licenses and letters of approvals issued by Regulatory Agencies to perform the necessary services as described herein expire, are canceled, modified, or suspended, the Contractor is responsible for immediately notifying DHHS Contract Manager by telephone. In addition, Contractor will provide to DHHS Contract Manager within five state business days any revised permits, licenses or regulatory documentation, which states that the expired permits, and/or licenses are still in effect. 5. Contractor shall procure and pay for all permits, licenses and approvals necessary for the execution of the contract. 6. Contractor must provide DHHS NPHEL with beginning-to-end documentation of handling, transportation, and disposition of laboratory chemical waste from point of pickup to disposal within sixty (60) calendar days of pickup. 7. Contractor shall provide qualified personnel, Department of Transportation (DOT) approved transportation, DOT labels, wood pallet(s), equipment, packaging, vermiculite and drums as needed, and completed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) manifest.
