U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Omaha District Invitation for Bid (IFB) using the FAR Part 14 – Sealed Bidding method for the project titled: Bedrock Maintenance Excavation, Missouri River at Florence Bend Near Omaha, NE.
The solicitation will close on 3 March 2022. This IFB is restricted to Small Businesses.
The scope of work for this project includes:
Bedrock material removal to restore the minimum navigation channel dimensions on the Missouri River in Nebraska and Iowa. Downstream of the I-680 bridge, near Omaha, NE, the Missouri River navigation channel contacts a bedrock outcrop commonly referred to as the Florence Reef. Missouri River degradation has resulted in insufficient navigation channel dimensions at several locations within the area between river mile (RM) 626.4 to 625.0.
Construction duration is 200 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed.
Estimated Magnitude of Construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.
