Specifications include, but are not limited to: .The Department of Correctional Services is seeking to establish a contract forbarber/cosmetologist services on a scheduled, weekly basis at the Work Ethic Camp,2309 North Highway 83, McCook, NE. Contract shall be effective April 1, 2011 throughMarch 31, 2013 with three (3) one-year renewal options when mutually agreeable toboth vendor and the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services.2.Haircuts will be given to males and females. Haircuts will be neat and orderly. If thereis a question regarding the suitability of the style, the matter is to be referred to WECstaff for a determination, before the haircut is completed. Contract will be for haircutsonly: there will be no hair stenciling, styling, coloring, permanent waves, or washing.3.Haircuts at the Work Ethic Camp will be scheduled for every calendar Sunday of eachmonth, or another mutually agreed upon weekly time frame, beginning at 8:00 AM andcontinuing until all scheduled offender haircuts have been completed. Haircuts will bescheduled at approximately 20-minute intervals with a break from 11:00AM--12:00 PMand breaks each morning and afternoon.4.No haircuts will be scheduled on any holiday (including Christmas Eve day) that fallson a calendar Sunday. For holidays such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Labor DayWeekend, and Memorial Day weekend, etc., vendor shall request that particularSunday off with at least one week's notice to WEC staff. If vendor requires a non-holiday Sunday off for personal or professional reasons (such as continuing educationclasses to maintain State licensure), the same procedure will apply. WEC will notifycontractor if approved. In the case of continuing education leave for the vendor, WECstaff should make every reasonable effort to accommodate the vendor
