Estimate quantity 26,000 square yards (more or less). SPECIFICATION FOR RUBBERIZED ASPHALT AND AGGREGATE SEAL COATING OF STREET PAVEMENTS Aggregate Seal Coat shall consist of applying liquid asphalt, spreading and rolling aggregate on the surface of bituminous and concrete pavements to provide a uniform sealed non-skid wearing surface. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS ANTI-STRIPPING ADDITIVE The material specified shall contain a coating and anti-stripping agent, which will permit the coating of wet aggregate and will cause the bituminous material to resist stripping from the aggregate in the presence of water. The character of the anti-stripping agent shall be such that it will not have any detrimental effect on the bituminous material, neither shall the presence of the anti-stripping agent require any but the usual handling methods for the bituminous material and the aggregate.
