Specifications include, but are not limited to: The successful consultant is expected to conduct an open and transparent process of facilitated meetings with individuals representing a broad variety of interests to assess the current City of Missoula Subdivision Regulations and associated zoning standards for Townhome Exemption Developments and the need for future revisions to those regulations. The process is expected to focus on learning about detailed issues and potential opportunities associated with the subdivision development process. Theassessment will consider existing city regulations and review processes, subdivision regulations andprocesses from other Montana Communities, national best practices in subdivision review and design,City of Missoula adopted policy, and the Montana State framework for subdivision (through the Montana Subdivision and Platting Act) along with potential state-level opportunities for change. The consultant shall summarize the review and recommended actions and next steps in a Recommendations Report.The information gained will be used by staff and Missoula City Council to develop a scope of work for future revisions to city development regulations.
