Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Stratify or have DNRC conifer seed stratified by a reputable, mutually agreed upon Seed Company. The Contractor will be responsible for the cost of stratification and the shipping costs, and all other associated costs, from the seed company to the nursery. B. Grow the contract amounts of seedlings at the delivered price, and to the specifications as required C. Use accepted horticulture/forest greenhouse practices in the growing and handling of the DNRC seedlings. Proper care of the seedlings will be the sole responsibility of the Contractor until the seedlings are received by the DNRC. D. Maintain the identification of each seed lot at all times. Improper or lack of adequate identification of seed lots will be cause for rejection of that lot with no payment made on those trees. E. Allow the DNRC to inspect the seedlings during regular working hours with reasonable advance notice. Provide the DNRC with a second inventory of seedlings by species and by lot number by November 15 for seedling which will be planted in the spring and by May 15 for seedlings which will be planted in the summer.
