Specifications include, but are not limited to: The MilTech department of Montana State University is a DoD, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of Technology Transition Partnership Intermediary and provides hands-on product design, prototyping, technology scouting, and manufacturing assistance to DoD Program Offices and non-traditional defense suppliers and small companies in order to transition innovative technology to the US warfighter rapidly, reliably, and cost-effectively. In the course of performing this mission, MilTech often requires subject matter experts in the field of technical and vendor scouting. Interested vendors must have the breath of capability and knowledge to assist with research and knowledge base of a vast array of technologies in order to assist in the transition of said technologies to the US warfighter in a timely manner. In some cases, the MilTech department will provide parameters and guidance, and in others, contractors will be tasked to provide and develop independent research requirements. The formatting of any reports required will be described in the task order(s). Any task orders resulting from this solicitation will be individually issued by the department and accepted by the contractor(s). Successful completion of any task orders will also be individually accepted as complete by either the MilTech Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for that task order, or the MilTech Director.
