Specifications include, but are not limited to: perform snow plowing and removal services at the Kalispell Armed Forces Reserve Center (KAFRC) and Field Maintenance Shop. Snow Plowing: Snow will be plowed in a manner to minimize obstructions. The requirement is to push/blow the snow as close as possible to unused portions of the parking areas or driveways.. Sidewalk Snow Shoveling. Snow will be moved to the leeward side of the dominant wind (east side of sidewalk) to prevent drifting onto the walking path. Sidewalk shoveling shall be completed by 7:00 a.m. on the snow event day. Snow Depth. Contractor is required to begin snow removal activities when snow depth reaches 2”. The CL may call for snow removal services if the snow type is such that the moisture content will create problems with melting or impaction from vehicles.. Sand, Salt, and De-Icers. Use of sand, salt or other de-icing methods are not required for this contract effort.
