The work will be split between City staff and the Consultant according to the following tasks. City Staff: • Provide outreach to schools to collect data during visioning phase • Organize stakeholder group to provide feedback on the campaign • Collect evaluation data (before and after) related to: o Pedestrian and bicycle volumes near schools o Yield rates at crosswalks near schools Consultant: • Help design activities and questions to engage the public during the visioning phase. • Attend meetings with stakeholder group and provide technical assistance as needed for up to four focus groups. • Help develop evaluations (before and after) related to: o Sentiments on the campaign (City staff will assist with distribution of the survey) o Archive of how messages were distributed • Suggest innovative outlets for campaign. • Develop campaign slogans and/or main messages. • Develop video PSAs that can be used on traditional video news stations, social media platforms, or on other innovative distribution methods. • Develop additional social media content. • Additional forms of media could include, but are not limited to print, radio, branded safety giveaways, brochures, posters, yard signs, and any other forms recommended by the consultant and approved by City staff. Consultant will design and implement all forms of media outreach, including purchasing ad spots. Existing City social media pages can be used for content distribution in some cases.
