The work generally consists of furnishing materials, labor, and equipment required to construct an 18-inch water transmission line from the site of the future Whitefish south water tank at the City Shops on West 18th street to Highway 93. The work will include open trench pipeline installation as well as horizontal directional drilling (HDD) to cross under Highway 93. The work also includes several hydrant lead, fire service, and water service crossings that will be installed under Highway 93 via HDD. The work includes several tieins with the existing distribution system and the construction of two air release valve vaults. Trenching, backfilling, and surface restoration are included in the work. Temporary water must be provided to areas of the distribution system that lie to the west and south of the site
