THE PROJECT GENERALLY CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING WORK: • PHASE 2 | SCHEDULE 1 – ELEVATED WATER TANK INSTALLATION: Installation of a 750,000-gallon elevated, welded steel, water tank (spheroid). Work will include, but not limited to, elevated welded-steel spheroid tank structure & painting, foundation design and installation, concrete vault, interior control building, pipe, appurtenances, and equipment, cathodic protection, SCADA control system, electrical, site improvements, and security fence. The new water tank is situated approximately 120-feet east of the existing water tank. The work shall be substantially complete by no later than Friday, October 2, 2026. Qualifications: Water Storage tank designer/manufacturer and installer shall meet qualifications requirements specified in SECTION 33 16 19 ELEVATED SPHEROID STEEL WATER STORAGE TANKS of the Contract Documents. • PHASE 2 | SCHEDULE 2 – ELEVATED WATER TANK DECOMMISSIONING, REMOVAL, AND DISPOSAL: Decommissioning, removal, and disposal of the existing 300,000-gallon elevated water tank. Work will include, but not limited to, decommissioning of the existing elevated water tank, removal of electrical service, and removal/abandonment of existing water supply main to the distribution system; removal and disposal of the above-ground structure including lattice supports and reservoir. The existing concrete foundation will be left in-place. Portions of the tank structure are coated with lead-based paint and shall be handled and disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. The existing water tank is situated approximately 120-feet west of the new water tank. The work shall be substantially complete by no later than Friday, October 2, 2026. • NOTE: This Project is part of a multi-phase project that will include installing/replacing water mains adjacent to North Park that will service the new elevated tank and future park/site restoration within North Park. These portions of work will be bid and awarded under separate contracts and are not included within this bid package. Refer to SECTION 01 11 00 SUMMARY OF WORK of the Contract Documents for additional detail.
