Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project consists of: asbestos and lead based paint abatement as detailed in the attached Comprehensive Inspection Report for Asbestos and Lead Containing Building Materials prepared by Abatement Contractors of Montana, LLC (ACM) and detailed below. Following abatement, selected contractor(s) will deconstruct building materials of value that can be recycled or reused. Following deconstruction, contractor will remove and dispose of the remainder of the building and leave existing at-grade surfaces intact. The basement mechanical room will be filled in. All other related work will be completed in accordance with the specifications outlined in the bid manual. Abatement and hazardous building material disposal must be completed by a licensed contractor that is certified by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Asbestos Control Program and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Lead Based Paint Program and adhere to DEQ/EPA accepted standards and procedures. Contractor(s) are required to follow all federal, state, and local regulations during abatement and deconstruction activities.
