Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Forensic Science Division to award a DCS 6 fingerprint workstation. The determination of this sole source purchase is based on the following requirements: The need is for a comprehensive photography system that improves and expands current forensic latent print imaging capabilities. It will replace an aging system, and it should introduce new technologies (e.g., reflective UV, which is non-destructive) and significant improvements in other technologies (e.g., IR-photography, digital enhancements). The fingerprint workstation should be able to capture detail across a wide dynamic range of light and deliver low-noise, higher-quality images which will save time during comparisons and will result in being able to visualize and record more details of value for comparison purposes.
