Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor agrees to provide to the State the following: The contractor shall familiarize itself with all the requirements of DNRC’s Montana Open-cut Act Permit No. 1150 for the Upper Goat Creek Gravel Pit. Consistent with the terms and conditions of Montana Open-cut Permit No. 1150, and the Plan of Operations found therein and within the active Operating Area described in Attachment B. The Contractor shall retain stockpiled overburden from mine-level areas so that up to a 12 to 14-inch thickness of overburden and soil can be replaced on areas to be reclaimed. The contractor must maintain at least a 10-foot buffer stripped of soil and needed overburden along the edges of high-walls. The stockpiles of topsoil and overburden must be protected from erosion, contamination, compaction, and unnecessary disturbance. Within the active Operating Area depicted in Attachment B, the Contractor shall excavate, crush to a size of 1 ½ inch-minus and stockpile 9,500 cubic yards of aggregate material. The contractor shall also excavate crush to a size of 1-2-inch material, stockpile and clean 1,000 cubic yards of aggregate material. The Contract Supervisor will identify an area to stockpile oversized rock.
