Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1: Marketing Campaigns: 1a. In coordination with CDB, the CD Outreach Working Group, Districts, and partners develop a multi-media marketing campaign that promotes Districts and illustrates the variety of services they provide and activities they do to implement local conservation efforts. The goal of this task is to elevate the profile of conservation districts in the state by educating the public about who they are and what they do to carry out local, on-the-ground conservation statewide. The CDB recently produced three videos featuring districts accomplishing distinct conservation activities in their area. See videos here: https://youtu.be/N-MvPPhswtg [youtu.be]. These videos can be used as a component of the campaign or to inform it.; 1b. Another objective of this task is to incorporate or create a distinct campaign to educate the public regarding the 310 Law. The purpose of the 310 Law is to keep rivers and streams in as natural or existing condition as possible, to minimize sedimentation and to recognize beneficial uses. Any individual or corporation proposing construction in a perennial stream must apply for a 310 permit through the local conservation district. This is not widely known by the public, therefore outreach is needed for compliance.; 1c. In addition to a statewide education and outreach campaign to promote District efforts as a whole, a secondary goal of this task is to reinforce the message by providing plans and/or tools for CD staff to promote individual Districts. Districts vary greatly in size and capacity and therefore needs to be adaptable based on capacity and resources. In general Districts range from: Small Districts: those with small budgets for operations and part-time staff; Medium-sized Districts: those with operational and project budgets and at least one full-time staff; Large Districts: those with budgets to support multiple staff, projects, and programs.; Task 2: Design and Develop Multi-Media Education and Outreach Materials for specific projects and programs.
