Specifications include, but are not limited to: Multiple hazardous features and waste remain at the Site including abandoned adits and shafts, two historical mills, modern mill buildings, and mine wastes. The purpose of this reclamation project is to limit human and environmental exposure to the contaminants of concern reduce the mobility of these contaminants and mitigate impacts to the environment. Work will consist of constructing the Black Pine Mine repository subgrade and associated items. Contractor will provide water install construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) construct a run-on ditch along USFS Road 78496 demolish, haul and lawfully dispose of the Harrison Shaft structure and associated asbestos containing material offsite in an approved landfill excavate and stockpile the Harrison and Harper waste rock in the repository footprint excavate the repository subgrade and stockpile cover soils, colluvium, and glacial till construct berms and BMPs around the stockpile place and compact Harrison and Harper waste rock within the repository and remove all debris items after completion.
