The intent of this capital construction project is to replace the bridge (Structure No. L-14-792) on Route 191 (First Ave N) over Big Spring Creek in Lewistown. Work will include bridge replacement for a structure in poor condition. Minor roadway approach work is included to tie the new bridge into the existing roadway alignment and existing sidewalk facilities. Due to the poor conditions structure rating, there will be a focus on fast tracking this project through contract negotiations and Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) delivery. The consultant will be required to provide comprehensive design services necessary for the project, including (but not limited to) investigation, analysis, and design of bridge; roadway, geotechnical, hydraulic, environmental elements, survey, work zone safety and mobility, and public involvement.
