A/B scan probes must be detachable so it can be processed by SPS in accordance with our disinfecting policy. Must have A-scan and B-scan options for measuring eye length and retinal thickness or lesion thickness. Due to space constraints of room equipment will be utilized in, need a single unit with interchangeable probes no larger than 15 x15 footprint. Due to limited space constraints and sensitive electrical equipment, must be direct contact A-scan NOT immersion for obtaining readings. Needs foot pedal to obtain readings so do not have to resituate while taking readings. Must plug into standard US outlet. Must be MADE IN THE USA Manufacturer must set up equipment and provide instructional training to provider and technicians. Task 1 - Enterprise Management Controls. Subtask 1 A/B Scan equipment and software must be compatible with Forum which is in place across VA Montana. Instrument will be used to take axial length, anterior chamber depth, white to white, and lesion thickness measurements, then transmit those measurements to the VA internal platform Forum where they can be assessed by the doctor. There is a specific list of approved devices that have been validated through the VistA database for compatibility with Forum. Any equipment that is not on the list is not guaranteed to work with Forum which is established and utilized throughout VA Montana, and the rigorous testing process to see if a piece of equipment is compatible take almost 12 months. Security Requirements Interfaces with Forum an internal storage platform that is already in use across VA Montana. 7. Place of Performance. Will be in the Billings VA Ophthalmology Clinic to be used by the ophthalmologist or ophthalmology technician on staff for measurements unable to be obtained by IOL master or OCT or to get an idea of retinal layers when view into eye is obstructed. 8. Delivery Schedule. Contracted vendor will deliver to Billings VA (Benjamin Steele) and coordinate with Biomed for installation in the exam room on a date when the doctor in not seeing patients. Once the instrument has been set up Biomed with work with Ophthalmology department to schedule a training with the manufacturer to provide education on functionality and performance.
