The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) is requesting information from interested parties on purchasing Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purification Units. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be made under NAICS 333248, All other industrial machinery manufacturing with a small business size standard of $750 employees. It is anticipated that this will be firm fixed price.
This Sources Sought is interested in assessing the capabilities of potential vendors and determining potential set asides. Potential set asides include, but are not limited to: Woman-Owned, HUBZone, Small Disadvantaged, Economically-Disadvantaged, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned, and Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises.
Reclamation is requesting that vendors who are interested respond to this request for information with the following items:
1. Provide feedback on the draft salient characteristics. Is there any additional specifications you need in order to provide quality quote?
2. Provide the vendor company information, contact information, Unique Entity Identifier Number (UEI), Capabilities statements, any experience in providing this supply that is relevant to this Sources Sought, and any set-asides the vendor is eligible for and certified for in SAM.gov
3. Provide feedback on the use of NAICS 333248, making recommendations if you believe there is a more appropriate code.

Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purifiers Salient Characteristics
Wyoming Area Office, Bureau of Reclamation requires five (5) TGV1¿15 vacuum dehydration oil
purification units. The common characteristics are listed here and the differing characteristics, in lines
010 and 020, below; the differing characteristics are solely the power requirements.
The hydraulic and turbine oil will be purified of contaminants including water and solids. The oil purifiers
will be capable of being moved via forklift and crane and through 42¿inch doorways. A NEMA 4 rated
enclosure will house all components requiring protection and the rest of the components coated to
resist oil and water. The controls will be sufficient to prevent process upset, including, but not limited to,
alarms/shutdowns for high and low fluid levels, high temperature, and dirty filter. The inlet will include a
Y¿type strainer to remove bulk particles. Each component will be capable of cleaning, reclaiming, or
replacing the removal media. The unit will be capable of operating without external pumps. The
discharge pump will be a positive displacement pump with internal relief valve.
The following specifications will be met:
-Operating Flow of 15 Gallons Per Minute (GPM)
- Water Removal to Below 5 Parts Per Million (PPM)
- Minimum three (3) Gallon Stainless Steel Condensate Tank with Automatic Water Drain
- 50 Pounds per Square Inch (PSI) Working Pressure
- Two (2) Heating Elements with Individual Heater Switches
Line Item 010 ¿ 240VAC Vacuum Oil Purification Unit
Quantity one (1) will be powered using 240 VAC, 3 ph, 60 Hz power.
Line Item 020 ¿ 480VAC Vacuum Oil Purification Units
Quantity four (4) will be powered using 480 VAC, 3 ph, 60 Hz power.
